NY Confiscates Guns From People on Anti-Anxiety Meds

Not surprisingly, there are many people who don't fully understand the consequences that can come from stricter gun laws.  Sometimes these consequences are unintended, other times not.  Many believe that if they obey the law and go through the proper procedures for obtaining a gun, then there is no reason for them to worry about having their guns taken by the government.  The link below is an example of how wrong those people are.  Many of President Obama's executive orders (see previous post) are focused on making it easier for the government to access health information for background checks.  On the surface this may seem like a great idea that could possible detect those with serious mental issues, like the man responsible for the Sandy Hook murders, before it is too late.  But once the rules are in place they can, and will, be stretched as far as the government can get away with.  How many people do you know that take medication for ADHD, anxiety, or depression?  Maybe you're one of them?  This story is exclusive to New York, but don't think for a second that "it could never happen" anywhere else.
